Henarathgoda Botanical Garden is situated in Gampaha, closer to Colombo than any other botanical garden in Sri Lanka. This garden was first started as a place to cultivate rubber in the 19th century. Now a traveler can see many valuable plants and flora here as it was later turned into a botanical garden. This botanical garden is the home to the first ever rubber tree in Sri Lanka as well as many other plant nurseries as well as flower nurseries. Beautiful flower gardens can be seen in this Botanical Garden, and a traveler can visit it any day since it is open to the public year round.
