Kaudulla Forest

Minneriya is the home to one of the historical irrigation tanks built during the Anuradhapura Era. Because of this, sanctuary attracts many animals during the dry seasons. Wild elephants have been noted to migrate from Minneriya to Kaudulla annually, and this national park is a good place to observe animals and birds. There are many species of birds that reside in this area and many of them are rare animals that are also endemic. Jungle tours, as well as boat rides, are available to travelers which one can take to observe the wild life and the amazing animals of Sri Lanka.
